Colours, functionality and design have all contributed to the massive success of the Hammershøi range. The elegant furrows are inspired by renowned artist Svend Hammershøi’s original works from the beginning of the 20th century – a history that has helped the Hammershøi range strike a chord with many people with a love for original story telling. The iconic and carefully devised furrows are contrasted by a soft idiom, giving the design a balanced and organic quality, which allows the Hammershøi range to be combined with other designs in the modern home.

About Kahler

Kähler is a Danish design brand with roots all the way back to 1839 when Herman Joachim Kähler opened up a pottery in the Danish town of Næstved. The pottery was later taken over by his sons, one of which was to make Kähler a household name.

It was Herman August Kähler that started experimenting with shapes and different types of glazes, attracting numerous renowned designers to the pottery.

With over 175 years of experience in traditional Scandinavian craftsmanship and design under their belt, Kähler is best known for their ceramic assortment, such as vases, dinnerware and candleholders. Iconic ranges include Omaggio, Urbania and Hammershøi.
